SC Cambuur gaat samenwerking aan met Indonesische KONI Makassar en PSSI Makassar

Afgelopen maand was een afvaardiging van de directie van SC Cambuur bestaande uit Ard de Graaf, Gerald van den Belt en Harry van der Zee op bezoek in Makassar, Indonesië. Een erg bijzondere reis en niet zonder doel, want na een eerder bezoek van een delegatie uit Indonesië waren de rollen nu omgedraaid om een mogelijke samenwerking op het gebied van talentontwikkeling en kennisoverdracht te onderzoeken.
Deze gesprekken zijn dermate succesvol verlopen dat de volksclub uit Leeuwarden, de overkoepelende sportbond KONI Makkassar en voetbalbond PSSI Makassar gaan samenwerken en elkaar versterken als het gaat om talentontwikkeling. Daarnaast zal de directie van SC Cambuur de organisaties adviseren op het gebied van accommodatie ontwikkeling.
Een belangrijk onderdeel van de samenwerking behelst het ontwikkelen van talentvolle jeugdspelers en trainers van PSSI Makassar. Hierbij zullen vakmensen uit de Jeugdopleiding van SC Cambuur op afstand en op locatie hun kennis delen. Ook zal SC Cambuur de bond ondersteunen met het leveren van materialen.
Algemeen Directeur Ard de Graaf spreekt van een succesvolle trip, met een uitkomst die past bij de ambities van de club. “Het was een even prettige als bijzondere ervaring en dat was niet in de laatste plaats te danken aan de Indonesische gastvrijheid. We hebben uitstekende gesprekken gevoerd met onder andere de president van KONI en PSSI Makassar, dhr. Ahmad Susanto, en zijn team. Dit heeft geleid tot een samenwerkingsovereenkomst, waarbij de beide partijen de ambitie hebben uitgesproken om een langdurige en bestendige relatie op te bouwen. Wij kunnen met onze kennis en kunde een boost geven aan het jeugdvoetbal in Zuid-Sulawesi en omgekeerd maken we kennis met een land met bijna 300 miljoen inwoners. Daarmee past deze stap bij de groei die we met de komst van het nieuwe stadion de komende jaren willen doormaken.”

SC Cambuur enters into a partnership with Indonesian KONI Makassar and PSSI Makassar
Last month, a delegation from the management of SC Cambuur, consisting of Ard de Graaf, Gerald van den Belt and Harry van der Zee, visited Makassar, Indonesia. It was a very remarkable trip with a clear purpose, as after a previous visit by a delegation from Indonesia, the roles were now reversed to explore a potential collaboration in the areas of talent development and knowledge transfer.
These discussions have proven to be highly successful, leading to the football club from Leeuwarden, the overarching sports association KONI Makassar, and the football association PSSI Makassar deciding to collaborate and mutually strengthen each other in terms of talent development. Additionally, SC Cambuur’s management will provide advice to both organizations regarding facility development.
An essential aspect of this partnership involves the development of talented youth players/trainers from PSSI Makassar. In this regard, experts from SC Cambuur’s Youth Academy will share their knowledge remotely and on-site. SC Cambuur will also support the association by providing materials.
Ard de Graaf, General Manager, describes this trip as successful, with an outcome aligned with the club’s ambitions. He states: “It was a pleasant and remarkable experience and that was not least due to the Indonesian hospitality. We had excellent discussions with, among others, the President of KONI and PSSI, Mr. Ahmad Susanto, and his team. This has resulted in a collaboration agreement, where the both parties have expressed the ambition to build a long-lasting and sustainable relationship. With our knowledge and expertise, we can give a boost to youth football in South Sulawesi, and in return, we get to know a country with nearly 300 million inhabitants. This step aligns with the growth we want to achieve in the coming years with the arrival of the new stadium.”
